Cousins

Hello everyone.  I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  Can you believe August the 1st is just coming around the corner!

What have I been up too?  Well, I decided to make a couple of little girls who happen to be cousins.  They remind me of my daughter and her cousin Denise (my sister's daughter).  They are not only cousins, but see each other as sisters.  It really it sweet since they each only have a brother.  They practically grew up together and are very close.  They even have the same profession - they are both school teachers.  If you can't have a sister then definitely a girl cousin is the way to go.

Julie and Jade will be sold separately and hopefully will be in my Etsy shop soon.  It is past midnight on a Saturday night and my eyes are getting mighty heavy.  It will definitely have to wait until tomorrow.  Time to go night, night.

Until next time - sleep tight!

Hugs,

Ten Little Snow Angels

No, not ten little indians, but ten little snow angels.  I was remembering a childhood song we use to sing in school.  I think that's one of the ways we learned how to count to ten.  Lol
I just finished these little angels today.  This is a sweet pattern by Country Whims
The card in the pocket with a picture of an angel says:
Times may be tough
but you will see...
Things will get better
if you "Believe."

With a string attached in the back it can used as an ornament or hang it just about anywhere.  Love it.

One of my favorite things to do is wool wall hangings or table tops.  This pattern is by Wooden Spool Designs.  The pattern is suppose to be oval and with the penny tongues, but because I wanted it for either hanging or on a table I adjusted the pattern a little.

I love the fabric on the back.   I've had it for a years and thought this made a pretty backing for it.

Trying to adjust to the life of retirement.  I have to admit I'm not as organized like when I worked full time and did my crafting whenever there was a moment.  My retired friends all have told me it takes a little time to get in a rhythm.  Of course, I'm not complaining - it is a very nice change!

Take care, until next time!

Maggie and 40th Wedding Anniversary

Introducing Ms. Maggie.  She is a pattern by one of my favorites - My Raggedy Dolls.  She soon will be in my Etsy store.

Yesterday was our 40th wedding anniversary.  Wow, where has the time flown!  We spent our day on a road trip.   Took about a 2 hour drive before stopping for breakfast, then another 30 mins to a casino for a little gambling.  I am happy to report that I only lost $20!   Then on the way back we stopped and did a little antique shopping.  We love antiquing and hadn't done that in awhile.  To end the road trip we stopped and had a wonderful dinner.

We had a such a great time and I couldn't have asked for a better day than spending the time with my love.

Have a great week!  Soon I'll start posting some of my holiday crafts I'm working on.

Hugs to all,

Gotta Have A Little Faith

Since we all gotta have a little faith - how about a cute little one by the name of Faith?  Doesn't her expression call out trust, cherish, friendship, faithfulness?  So how appropriate to name her Faith.

Or if you love Faith Hill - this could be her little sister - lol!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of  July!  On to the next holiday - hummm - Labor Day? - then Halloween - Thanksgiving - Christmas - oh my, but the time is just flying!  Better continue with my holiday crafting.  No excuses - now that I'm retired!

Remember - keep the faith!
