Is it Spring yet?

It sure doesn't feel like spring.  Woke up this morning to 34 degree temperatures here in south Texas.  Brrrr - at least the sun is shining!

So what have I've been up to?  Just finished these little spring time raggedy dolls.  They each come with their very own rabbits.  The "pretty in pink" is MaryBeth and her undergarments match her ruffle.

Then we have Ms Kelli lovely in purple.  Her undergarments match her bow.

Kelli is sold!  Thank you!

MaryBeth and Kelli are now available in my Etsy shop.

Awake, thou wintry earth -
Fling off thy sadness!
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!

Thank you for stopping by and may Spring be upon you very soon!

warm hugs,

Gotta Have A Little Faith

Since we all gotta have a little faith - how about a cute little one by the name of Faith?  Doesn't her expression call out trust, cherish, friendship, faithfulness?  So how appropriate to name her Faith.

Or if you love Faith Hill - this could be her little sister - lol!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of  July!  On to the next holiday - hummm - Labor Day? - then Halloween - Thanksgiving - Christmas - oh my, but the time is just flying!  Better continue with my holiday crafting.  No excuses - now that I'm retired!

Remember - keep the faith!

Purple Simplicity

As I was sewing this doll and her purple flower I thought of the song Purple Rain. Kept humming that tune - then as I started to dress her my thoughts changed to Donny Osmond and his purple socks! Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Purple Rain by Prince and Donny's purple socks. If you don't, then I know I'm getting old!

So from the song to socks and after finishing her up the first thing to come to mind was simplicity - how sweet and simple my little doll looks to me. I couldn't think of a name for her, but I'm sure when she gets adopted someone will give her a fitting name. How simple is that...

Happy Monday and Say Hello to Maddie

Happy Monday! It is for me since I'm a federal employee I get President's Day off! Yea! That gives me time to work on some dolls. And speaking of dolls - just finished this special little doll for a precious little baby. Her mommy is my niece, Lisa, and this is her first little girl. Lisa wanted something in purple so the perfect fabric in my stash was none other than some purple with white stars. Yes, stars for "a star is born"! I'll have her ready to be shipped out to California soon, but I have to work on something for her big brother (3 yr old Ethan). I think Ethan would probably like a monster! I'll have to sew him a stuffed monster. I think he'll like that.

Hope everyone is having a nice day. For those who are still living with snow - stay warm!

Hugs,
