Have Faith - Raggedy Doll

Hello to all my blogger friends and anyone new coming by to visit my blog. Hope everyone is having a great day. I just finished taking photos of this doll and added her to my Etsy shop before my little four year old sweetie, Cadie, comes and visits her Grammy and Grandpa. She is having a sleep over tonight with us...that ought to be fun! Anytime spending time with her is a great time.

I'd like to take this time to thank so many of you that leave such nice comments about my work. Your comments are so special to me and it always brings a smile to my heart. Thank you!

Now for my new doll - Faith. I like this name...reminded me of a great country western singer, Faith Hill... hence the blonde locks! Actually I see this name as a symbol of great inspiration of faith in our everyday lives. I loved working on this doll.

Well I guess I better end this so that I can get ready for that little one. Gotta get out the Dora DVDs, maybe put together a crafting kit for her and order cheese pizza! (forget dieting for me tonight!!) Wow - fun night tonight!

Lulu and Annie

Finished a new doll for Etsy. What do you think of Lulu and Annie? The pattern for Lulu is from Threadbare Primitives. I love her dolls, although she does make them a little more primitive than I do. As you can see I'm not quite there yet. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the primitive dolls and one day I will give one a try. Now for the little itsy bitsy doll...I used a pattern from Little Dirt Lane, another talented lady.

I just finished designing a Christmas stitchery pattern for a pillow. I'll have to get that posted soon. I have to say, I'm staying busy with getting some holiday crafts done.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Can you believe I grilled steaks out doors in the grill and baked stuff salmon in the oven for my hubby and son-in-law for their Father's day meal. Great dinner! Here's hoping everyone had an enjoyable day! Thanks for stopping by.

hugs,

Sold - heading to Oklahoma City! Thanks!

It's a Wonderful Life...

It's a wonderful life...."my teacher said every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings." Sound familiar? Yes, Clarence finally gets his wings and George Bailey finally realizes it is a wonderful life. One of my very favorite holiday movies! My inspiration for a new stitchery design. This e-pattern is now listed in my Etsy shop. The only thing I changed was the word "his" to "it's". I didn't want to zero in the guys only, lol. If you've noticed I've done two pillows. A tea and cinnamon stain with borders and a Redwork pillow.

This pattern can be used to decorate year around and will be great for those crafters getting ready for the holiday shows. Thanks for taking a peek...until next time have a wonderful life!

Chloe and Her Teddy

I've put aside my stitching long enough to finish two dolls. One is now with it's new home and this one will be ready to go in my Etsy shop soon. Her name is Chloe and she comes with her teddy bear. Doesn't she have a look like she is asking "Teddy goes with me, right?" Of course he does. I had fun making this doll.

I am also working on some Christmas pillows. I designed two and will soon have them posted along with the e-pattern's availability. I definitely want to do some with wool applique real soon. There is not such a thing as starting too early doing crafts for the fall shows!

Have a wonderful week and as always, thanks so much for stopping by and the most wonderful notes you leave. As I've said before, it brings a smile to my heart when I hear from my friends!

Hugs,
