Here's My Swap Annie

Last month, Jess from Little Dirt Lane, invited anyone that would like to participate in a swap for your favorite Annie. Here is the one I made for Ilona Kabai from Designs by GuKa. I just mailed her a couple of days ago. Ilona and her husband are Army Veterans. So for her doll I wanted stars in her dress and her holding a star with the initials USA for United States Army. Here is to Ilona and her hubby - thank you for serving our country! Hope you like her!

Working with Wool

Hi Blogger Friends!

Sorry I hadn't blog in a while, but I was having some issues with blogspot that has finally been resolved. Yea!

Well this past weekend I worked on some wool pillows and ornaments. Love working with wool. I especially like to use black wool as a background - it just seems to bring out the rich colors! Don't ya think? I sometimes will use a different color background, which I am working on right now and will post when finished.

Well, back to work - hope you enjoy viewing some of my projects - I'll be posting soon!

Hugs to all!

More Crafts for the Show

Hi Blogger friends and those who just happen to drop by - it's Friday and it's my BIRTHDAY!  Yea - I asked for a day off from work today and so far it's been so enjoyable.   Woke up early and was treated out for breakfast with hubby before he had to go to work.  Then went to one of my favorite stores, Hobby Lobby and then to Borders.  Sat at Borders and looked through some craft magazines (what else) and had a yummy Pumpkin Creme Latte.  Forget the diet - it's my birthday!

Next, finished up a few things which I'm displaying for you.  The wool tree shirts are fun and easy to do - love those.  I've done several Annie Angel ornaments and an Annie Angel doll.  And then some more Christmas pillows which I stained with coffee, vanilla and cinnamon.  Well, time to relax a little before hubby gets home from work and off we'll go out for dinner.  Me cook on my day? Not today!  Have a wonderful day all - I know I will.
Hugs!

Let's Celebrate Autumn

Well, it didn't last too long - that is going back to making another doll.  OK, I was good and made a pretty good dent for my Christmas show, but I got this new doll pattern from Threadbare Primitives and just couldn't wait any longer to try it out.

Here she is, Miss Autumn, with her fall colors and her pet mouse.  Love making her.  Next I'll make some Christmas dolls like her with a small Santa or candy cane or a big present!  So many ideas and not enough hours in the day since I work 40 hours a week outside the home.  But, it's still so much fun - gotta love it.

She'll soon be heading to my Etsy shoppe!

Things I've Been Working on This Weekend

OK Pat, put the dolls down and start working on your items for the upcoming craft show.  Hmmm, I think that was my angel on my shoulder giving me some good advice.  Well, as you can see, even though it's sooo hard putting down the dolls, I have been a busy bee for the last two or three days (it is Sunday right?).  I did some pillows as shown above.  The small Merry Christmas ones are always a hot seller - so I probably will do more of those.  The one with the Santa and candy cane is a pattern I purchased from Samantha at samanthasaccessories.blogspot.com.  She has several real cute patterns that you should check out.  Don't be afraid to mix your stitching with wool and acrylic paints. I love mixing it up.

I also stitched several ornaments.  These are very popular - and I'm only showing you a few.  I think for the past month I've done about five dozen small ornaments.  These are things you can work on while you watch TV with your hubby.  It also gets you out of your craft room for a while.  This time of the year I certainly spend more time there than any other room in the house.

Next, I'll start working on my wool projects.  I love working with wool!

And maybe a doll -shhhhh - can't say that out too loud!

I hope you enjoyed looking at some of my projects that I've been working on.  Have a wonderful day!

Nuthin But A Sweet Pea

Hi everyone!  Yes, I'm suppose to be working on Christmas crafts, but I had an itching to make a doll.  And as I was creating her I was thinking, what should I name her?  After I painted her face it came to me - what a sweet pea.  Yep, nuthin but a Sweet Pea she is.

Sweet Pea will be in my Etsy shoppe soon, but if you're interested in her just email me.

Blessings!

One More Day Left for the Give Away!

We've got one more day left before we select a home for Pumpkin Girl.  Tomorrow, Labor Day, my 3 year old granddaughter will select the lucky winner.  Just look down below for my give away, join my blog and leave me a comment and I'll make sure your name goes in the bucket!  Meanwhile, I've been busy getting things ready for my craft show in the Fall.  Here are a few items I've been able to stitched lately.  The snowman is one of my favorites.  I bought the pattern from Sandy at the Olde Country Cupboard.  I'll make several and use his head in the center of some wreaths.
This is a little primitive angel ornament that I made last year and sold several of them.  Got to get started on these soon.  Until tomorrow when I announce the winner!   Good luck all!
