Abigail

Another doll! Introducing Ms. Abigail and her teddy bear. Picked up this fabric just yesterday and I couldn't wait to sew up a dress. She is so sweet - I certainly love the way she turned out.

It's way past my bedtime - have to get up early (5 a.m. to be exact) and head off to work. You know, the other job! So that means I'll have to wait and put Abigail in my Etsy shop until tomorrow. Meanwhile, if you're interested all you gotta do is email.
Good night all!
Abigail has been sold - thank you!

Happy Monday and Say Hello to Maddie

Happy Monday! It is for me since I'm a federal employee I get President's Day off! Yea! That gives me time to work on some dolls. And speaking of dolls - just finished this special little doll for a precious little baby. Her mommy is my niece, Lisa, and this is her first little girl. Lisa wanted something in purple so the perfect fabric in my stash was none other than some purple with white stars. Yes, stars for "a star is born"! I'll have her ready to be shipped out to California soon, but I have to work on something for her big brother (3 yr old Ethan). I think Ethan would probably like a monster! I'll have to sew him a stuffed monster. I think he'll like that.

Hope everyone is having a nice day. For those who are still living with snow - stay warm!

Hugs,

Wooly, Wooly

Let me just say - it has been a long week! So busy with work and then some family members getting sick - to include my big baby - hubby! He unfortunately got sick with the flu and as most of you all can just imagine they all of a sudden become a little helpless. So with said I have not yet finished my niece's doll or started on some new wool patterns that I had just purchased. Speaking of purchases - I just ordered that cute new bunny pattern from Maureen, Sweet Meadows Farms and can't wait to try my hand on her bunny. I am planning on making one for my granddaughter for Easter. Sooo cute!

Meanwhile, I thought I'd show you all some wool projects that I've made in the past for my own home. The first one is one of my favorites - three sun flowers. I love those colors and fits perfectly in my breakfast area. The other one sits in the living room on an end table. Goes well with my furniture there. I love working with wool. It's so simple to handle and these projects can go anywhere with you or while you sit and watch TV with your loved one. Besides, sometimes we need to just get away from that craft room!
Oh oh, hear someone calling my name! Guess I'll go and see what he needs now. As the saying goes - gotta love them!! Have a great weekend - until later - may all be bright with you.

Happy Valentines!

So making dolls and working on wool projects just isn't enough for me! Here I go adding another craft to my world. Here is my very first try at mixed media art. Done on canvas - using paper, acrylic paints and pens I've just finished my granddaughter's Valentine gift. I'm hoping this collage will work well in her room. That is, I hope she will hang it up in her room! They just finished painting her room in greens, yellows and orange, hence the colors I chose. The picture of Cadie is one of my favorite where she was play-acting as a "secret agent." Her mommy even caught her talking in her wrist at one time. Such an imagination my little sweetheart has!

I love so many of the mixed media art out there. I'm hoping that soon (when I have time!) I can do some with my own drawings - something I would really like to master.

Anyway, this is my very first one - and I'm my worst critic - have a lot to learn!

Thought I'd share! Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Hugs,

PatC

Sydney

Sydney - a girl after my heart.

Does the dress look familiar to you? Yes, I've used this fabric before. I normally never use the same fabric on my dolls, but this is a special custom order for a friend from my high school days. Yep, many years ago and we won't be doing the math on that! LOL. Anyway, my friend saw the Valentine girl that was my give away and requested the same fabric for her granddaughter's doll. Sydney will be getting her doll on Valentine's Day.

I love doing custom orders. Her granddaughter has brown curly hair and big brown eyes. Hope she loves her personalized dolly.

I'm staying pretty busy - right now I'm finishing up a doll for my brand new great niece, which will be posted soon. Plus, I want to start working on some wool projects. I just received some new patterns and I'm itching to start working on those. Can't wait until I retire from my full time job, hummm - hopefully in about 2 years cause I'd rather be crafting!

Well, it's getting late and I have another full day tomorrow. Take care all and.......

Let your heart be glad!

Hugs and Kisses to YOU!

Oh boy, it's very cold down here in south Texas. I know, many of you are having temps in the teens or even minus zero. But for us folks in southwest Texas it's COLD! Temperatures are going to drop in the morning to around 18 degrees and maybe some snow flurries by Thursday.

OK, now that I've given you all the weather report - back to my new doll.

Meet Mackenzie

Mackenzie is sending lots of hugs and kisses to you! She comes with her little wool pillow that has been hand appliqued. She will soon be in my Etsy shop. That's it for now - stay warm - I know I will!

Hugs to all!
