The Luck of the Irish - good or bad?

Not sure, but whatever it may be, this little girl is ready with her shamrock - four leaf clover should bring good luck to anyone.

I've noticed alot of bunnies hopping all over the place lately in blogland, but before we get to Easter we must not forget St Patrick's Day.  I love St Patty's day - first, green is my favorite color; and second my lucky number is 17 which is the day St Patrick's Day falls on.  And we must not forget my name is Patricia so I like to call that day St Pat's day!  What is there not to like about this holiday?  Unfortunately, I am not Irish - but that's OK - I love it!

I'm still working on finishing my rooster wall hanging.  I'll post that when it's done.  In the works is a Spring Swap - fun, fun, fun!  Possibly a little raggedy annie and andy too.  Staying busy is a good thing!

Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend and I leave you all with this:

For each petal on the shamrock
This brings a wish your way -
Good health, good luck, and happiness
For today and every day.

An Etsy Doll and a Give Away!

Happy Monday ya'll (showing my Texas roots).  Today I bring to you my 2013 "Give away"!  In honor of my buddy "Diane from Lavender Dreams " who added a comment to one of my post that went like this "You don't make as many blonds, do you?"  Well my friend, not only did I make one, but TWO blond dolls this weekend.  LOL - you are too cute Diane!

My give away doll is wearing, what other color but lavender.  She comes with her flower made from wool.  This is for all my followers and anyone who would like to follow my blog.  I will have my granddaughter pick the winner by random number next Monday, 18 Feb.

This doll is ready for some sunny spring time weather as many of us are too.  She is now in my Etsy shop - ready to bring some sunshine and spring into your homes.

Good luck to all - and remember you only have one week to leave a comment and be entered in my give away.

Have a wonderful week!

hugs,

My Valentine Swap and a New Project

I participated in a Valentine swap hosted by Debby from Cozy Blanket.  Each participant received 5 hand-crafted valentines plus one from Debby.  Here are the ones I received yesterday in the mail. Such lovely and creative work from some wonderful ladies - thank you and a big thank you to Debby for hosting this swap.  Love my Valentines.

Meanwhile, in between sewing dolls and all the other millions things to do in my home, I'm working on this wool wall hanging.  The pattern is "Top of the Morning" by Geoff's Mom Pattern Co.  I just finished cutting the wool pieces and ready to applique them onto the background.  I loved this pattern when I was searching on line for something to hang over my pot belly cabinet. Since the cabinet is now in my kitchen I thought the roster and chickens would work nicely.  I love bright colors!  After it's all finished and hung I'll be sure to post a picture of it.  Yep, bet some of you didn't know that I also love quilting and wool applique.

This is what I'll be working on while sitting with hubby and enjoying Super Bowl.

Have a wonderful weekend!

sweet hugs,
