Pinkalicious!

Before introducing my new doll I want to take this time to thank all my blogger friends for all your sweet and kind comments.  I hope my tutorial will be some help - can't wait to see your creations.  Thank you for taking the time for leaving me your comments.  You guys are the best!

OK, back to this little doll.  Last time I made a pink hair dolly was for my granddaughter last Easter.  I love this fabric and decided it needed pink hair - just so pinkalicious!

I'm glad I was able to finish this doll tonight cause now I have to work on a bridal shower for my niece.  My sister, sister-in-law and I are hosting the shower this Saturday at my house.  I'm so glad I will have Friday off from work - lots to do, but it will be great cause she is a wonderful niece.

Awww - Ellie with your bright green eyes

Isn't there a song like that?  Ellie with your bright green eyes....  humm, sounds like it could be a song.  Ellie is now in my Etsy shop and she comes with a red flower that matches her hair.  

I've had some emails asking how I do my doll's eyes.  When I get some time I'll try and put together a tutorial on painting eyes. I've never done a tutorial, but I guess I can try.   But for now my friends it's time to get ready for another busy day at the office tomorrow.  Have a wonderful week and take care.

Freckles

Just finished Freckles today - and she is sold!  I listed her in Etsy a couple of hours ago and as I was writing this post I received notification that she's headed to California.  How exciting is that!  Thank you!  So that means I'll be thinking of a name and colors for a  new dolly soon.  Wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow!  Soon, very soon I will be retiring and then the fun will begin - sewing whenever I want and not having to do it after work or weekends.  Plus a little traveling in there will be fun.

OK, time to stop day dreaming - start packing Freckles and then get ready for work tomorrow.

Just a Few Days Until A Winner is Announced!

 I haven't been crafting much lately. Been busy with my niece's bridal showers and hubby is building me a makeup vanity area in my walk-in closet, so that means I'm having to clean that out. Yuk! Love the way the vanity is turning out, but I hate to go through and fish out old clothes that are outdated (like something from the 80s that I still hoped I could fit into once I lost some weight!). I'm sure most of you know what it's like to clean out closets - like throwing out old boxes and papers and why am I hanging on to old purses that I know I won't use again?

This is just as bad as spring cleaning and it ain't spring yet!  (not using proper English there, lol) 

I'll be back this Sunday to announce the winner and hopefully have some new dolls to post.

Give Away For You and A Friend

I think it's time for a give away and  I have a couple of sweet little angels that I've just finished and will be given away on 22 Jan 12 .  This is for all my wonderful followers and if your not one yet, just follow my blog and you too will be entered.

I thought I'd make this a little different and interesting.  If you noticed my title says "giveaway for you and a friend."  That's right - one will be for you and the other for your special friend.  You know someone that is always there for you - just like a guardian angel.  Or it could be your Mom or sister.  They too can be your best friends.  Just saying.

The angels measure 7 inches and they have a string so you can hang them just about anywhere.  I have one that I hang on my cabinet door knob.

First Doll for 2012

 Happy New Year!  Now that all the holidays are over with it's time to start working on some dolls.  Introducing Ms Abbey.  She will be in my Etsy shop tomorrow.  Since I was off from work today I took advantage and started working on her this morning.  I do have four custom dolls that I must start working on, but I had Abbey on the brain and couldn't wait to finish her.   Her and her green eyes and butternut hair.
