Stop and Smell the Flowers
It's spring time and just the other day I noticed how busy I've been. For me it's not only working outside the home full time, but working on some special orders for dolls. I have three that I haven't started yet. And as I was driving home the other day, I noticed some flowers blooming in the neighborhood and told myself "stop and smell the flowers." And that's how I came to designing this cutie. Jilly's message - "Smell the Flowers" and enjoy this wonderful time when all that was once dead to the winter is now blooming all around us.
Blessings to all,

Orange Sherbert Push Pops
Sewing this dress brought back some childhood memories for me. Do some of you remember the orange sherbert ice cream push pops? As a little girl, I remember waiting during the summer months for the sound of the ice cream truck playing music and with money in hand ready to purchase my favorite ice cream. For those that may not know what a push pop is, they are just like an orange creamsicle or orange dream bar. The color of this dress reminded me of that. I love the print on this fabric; tangy orange with small white flowers.
Now that I’ve told you one of my many favorite past times during the summer months what should I name her? Humm, how about Tangy? I once knew a girl by the name of Tangy. Well, Tangy it is and she will be ready for my Etsy shop soon.
Awww, memories of those childhood good old summer days. Seems like I'm feeling a little nostalgic remembering those summer breezes, catching light bugs in a jar and orange push pops – those were the days - until next time my friends, All is Bright, especially if I can get my hands on some of those push pops!

Because I Love You...
Just four simple words on a heart and a face with such innocence would certainly melt my heart. Tilly is ready to fill your home with plenty of love. This little cutie was so much fun to create. She is a My Raggedy Doll pattern, but I added the heart. I love adding little messages to my dolls. The pinafore I used for Tilly is one of the pieces of lace and hankies that I purchased from my trip to Round Top. I loved how that turned out. The heart pattern is mine and I used dyed onsnaburg fabric and vintage buttons that were also finds at the antique shopping tour. So if you are interested in Tilly she is now in my Etsy shop.
Thanks for taking a peek at my new doll and have a very nice evening!

Custom Order and Round Top
But I did have just enough energy today to finished the doll above. Her name is Maria Clara and is a special order for a little girl in Portugal. I hope she loves her.
I'm working on another doll and will have her listed in Etsy soon - hopefully by Wed. Since I was out all day yesterday I have to finish my wash - not fun :0(
Take care!
